European Directive n° 2002/95/EC dated 27/01/2003 is entitled: "Restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment".
The table annex to this directive specifies the quantities of Lead (Pb), Mercury (Hg), Cadmium (Cd) and Hexavalent Chromium (Cr) which are exempted from the requirements of article 4.
In particolar, point 6 of the table indicates: "… copper alloy containing up to 4% lead by weight."
